Considered the world's greatest river, the Amazon begins as melted snow high in the Peruvian Andes and makes its way across the heart of South America to Brazil's Amazon Basin. Adorned by the surrounding magical rain forests, the river has a cast of over 1,500 tributaries, and is responsible for one-fifth of the world's fresh water and one-third of its oxygen.

Transfer from either the airport or the hotel to the pier for a 35-mile riverboat cruise to Ariau Jungle Towers Lodge, the only hotel complex at tree top level in the Amazon Rainforest. The lodge is situated thirty five (35) miles northwest from Manaus along the right bank of the Negro River, part of the National Park of the Negro River and at the beginning of the Anavilhanas Archipelago, the largest fresh water Archipelago in the world.
